Representative Netball
OAK PDP Junior Academy
Athletes in years 7-9 are nominated by teachers and coaches to trial for our PDP Junior Academy, the first step on the England Netball Performance Pathway. They train as a squad and may compete off-island at season’s end. They must commit to a personal development programme covering on- and off-court education. This individual skill programme is managed by England Netball.
Island Teams
Guernsey is proudly represented by talented netball teams across a range of age groups, including U11, U12, U14, U16, U19, Senior A, Senior B, and Vets. These teams showcase the island’s passion for netball, competing in local and regional tournaments while fostering a strong sense of pride and achievement.
16s and 19s
Guernsey Netball Association's Under 16 and Under 19 squads offer young athletes the opportunity to compete at regional levels, fostering both personal and athletic growth. Both teams embody the spirit of Guernsey netball, nurturing talent and promoting teamwork. The Under 16's are sponsored by Ana Leaf Foundation and the Under 19's by Dominion.
Love for
the sport

Netball has always been my me time. It’s my escape. All sports people say it, but it’s true. As soon as I step on court my mind washes completely clear and targets a new focus: nothing else matters. Playing with a team who has equal passion for my favorite thing in the world fuels me even more, all of us working together for the same outcome, maybe all with different reasons for playing. Netball is fast, tactical, and challenging, with all of these making it fun, giving you no time to think about anything else that comes with the bustle of life. Netball to me is my time to clear my mind and and push my body, bettering my game all the time.
Sophia Roger Regional U19 & SNC Club Player
Netball has been a big part of my life in a playing, coaching and umpiring context for a number of years. It’s a great tactical sport and an opportunity to play with friends in a social, but competitive environment. With the modern day adaption of the game, it’s faster, well contested and exciting! Ultimately, it’s about enjoyment, participation and development - it is great to see everyone coming off court with smiling faces.
Donna Brehaut Island Team
Back to Netball has been a fantastic way to to connect back into team sport, meet new people, learn new skills and have fun! I’ve really valued Sally’s sense of humor, forgiving nature and encouraging attitude and think she has created a safe space for a random group of people with diverse skill to find some courage and give it a go with like minded people. Thanks Sally. I’ve been really enjoying it!
